BIOTE- A SUPERIOR METHOD OF HORMONE OPTIMIZATION FOR MEN & WOMEN

Hormone Imbalance in Women

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy for women may help any woman whose hormones are out of balance. However, the most common time women seek bioidentical hormone replacement therapy is when they're experiencing menopause. There are three stages of menopause—perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause. There are also rare instances regarding women who have never had balanced hormones, often causing excessively uncomfortable menstrual cycles and extreme mood swings. The BioTE method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy for women may help treat the cause of these issues.

Hormone Imbalance in Men

The primary goal of BioTE® Medical is to help men balance their male hormones. Pellets used for bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) are inserted under the skin in the upper buttocks area to balance hormones in men. Testosterone replacement therapy in men with subcutaneous pellet implants has been shown to be extremely effective, convenient and safe. Men who start pellet therapy for symptoms of andropause tend to stick with it — 93% of men who start pellet therapy continue it. Learn about our method of balancing hormones in men by calling us at 731-325-5678 or Email us with questions at info@hucdyersburg.com

What is BioTE Medical?

Bioidentical hormone replacement pellet therapy is a personalized, natural approach to hormone replacement. It allows a patient’s body to absorb the right level of hormones at the right time, via a delivery method the body can process efficiently and that eliminates the potential for human error at the patient end.

Pellets are small capsules, about the size of a grain of rice, that contain bioidentical hormones. A bioidentical hormone is the exact molecular structure of hormones the body produces naturally.

They are inserted under the skin, where the hormones enter the bloodstream as they dissolve over several months. Our studies show that patients may see the effects of hormone optimization four weeks after a pellet insertion.

Hormones delivered by pellet therapy bypass the liver, do not affect clotting factors, do not increase the risk of thrombosis, and avoid the fluctuations of hormone levels seen with other methods of delivery, like pills, creams, gels, and synthetic injections. BioTE® bioidentical hormone pellets are made from soy or the yam plant to create estradiol and/or testosterone molecules, unlike synthetic hormones, which are made from animal parts or urine and have a different molecular structure than what the body produces. No other way of delivering hormones results in this truly patient-specific solution, and eliminates the potential for human error at the patient end.

What can a patient expect?

As each patient’s symptoms are unique, so is each patient’s path to hormone optimization. Some patients report symptom relief in as little as four weeks, but complete symptom relief may take up to six months. The BioTE® method of hormone optimization therapy will be customized to balance each patient’s hormones and fit their specific needs.

The Importance Of Hormone Balance

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement with testosterone has helped thousands of men and women feel better. Dealing with the symptoms of low testosterone, such as fatigue, muscle weakness, reduced sex drive, night sweats, or weight gain (especially in the belly area), can be very stressful. Bioidentical testosterone pellets may be able to restore hormonal balance for patients.

Your Questions Answered

No fasting is required in advance of the insertion.

During the in-office visit, which only takes a few minutes, patients are brought into the exam room, and the insertion site is numbed. The most common site of insertion is the upper buttocks. A small incision is then made for pellet insertion. Once the pellet is inserted, the insertion site is covered with a small bandage.

After pellet insertion, it’s best to eliminate lower body exercise. Walking should be fine, but extraneous activity is not recommended. Swimming, hot tubs, and bathtubs are to be avoided; however, showers are permitted. After removal of the bandage, normal activity may resume.

As each patient’s symptoms are unique, so is each patient’s path to hormone optimization. Each pellet therapy is customized to fit a patient’s specific needs.

Since pellets are bioidentical and contain hormones like those produced by the body, they are completely dissolved and absorbed, leaving nothing behind.
